(Tried that 4 or 5 times)Ħ- Clicked then DEMO, and everything went fine immediately.
In general, everything went fine.Ģ- BUT, opening iTunes 9, I found that VL was still present but not functioning.ģ- After reading a dozens of threads here and elsewhere about VL 1.3.2, decided to uninstall it completely and then to re-install it.Ĥ- Downloaded the version 1.3.2 L (Fix for Leopard compatibility)ĥ- After VL installation and opening iTunes, the usual VL mini-window opened : I tried to click "BUY" or "ACTIVATE" with my old VL Serial Number, but got no positive reaction.
As you point, I never heard about a 1.7 version.Īnd NOW, for whoever interested, here are my last experience with VL 1.3.2ġ- Very recently, I decided to upgrade my Mac from Tiger 10.4.11 to Snow Leopard 10.6 (currently 10.6.2). VL remained a fantastic app' for my then Mac 10.4.11 (Today's features below).Īnswer to (b) : As far as I know, there is no upgrade for VL 1.3.2. A few weeks ago, I upgraded my iTunes from 8 to 9, expected/feared some problem with my VL 1.3.2 but everything went fine. (b) if an upgrade is available for VL and where to get it? - i've not heard of VL 1.7 I thought VL had stopped committing to Mac users.Īnswer to (a) : YES. (a) iTunes 9 is compatible with VL 1.3.2 for Tiger users? "I am still using iTunes 8 with VL 1.3.2 on my OSX 10.4.11. This comment is in fact an answer to EVERYBODYHATESCHRIS who asked this today in another thread ( SRS iWOW Premium 3.1): OTOH, AstoundSound v3.0.2, supposedly SL-compatible, will not even load for me IMac 7,0 OS X 10.6.5 iTunes 10 Sony MDR-V900HD's Bose MusicMonitors. Volume Logic is great used alone, but it can also be combined with iWOW, Digital Power Station, Hear, or even used in conjunction with all of them at once! If the suggestion above hasn't worked for you, it's probably because the file from eSellerate is probably too old. Replace the "" with the one from the eSR SDK dmg you just mountedįorget eSellerate Libs! Use Find File - available here at MacUpdate - and find the most recentįile, from ANY app whatsoever, and use that. Go to /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/HAL/uginĬtrl click and choose "Show Package contents" and open the folder "Resources" Mount the eSellerate Embedded SDK and look in the "eSellerate Libs" folder for "" Replace the iTea located in the Volume Logic plugin with the one from iWOW on the desktop. Goto Contents/MacOS/ (you should see iTea.)Ĭtrl Click VolumeLogic plugin (show package contents)
Feel free to leave your comments.ĭownload iWOW (updated for Leopard) Demo and installĭrag the iWOW plugin out of /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/HAL/ to the desktopĬtrl Click iWOW plugin (show package contents) Hope you all will find this a worthwhile solution. Please see the attached picture posted here: I have posted a screenshot of the settings you'll need to adjust the EQ and Sound Enhancer (Preferences) in iTunes to in order mimic the VL plugin. Since there seems to be no easy way at the moment to get VL working on Lion without enabling 32-bit iTunes mode or doing some hefty patching, I had developed a work-around knowing this day would come and tried my best to mimic the VL capabilities for best overall sound from the default stated purpose of the VL plugin, without using any plugins.Īfter a LONG time testing and tweaking, I think many of you will be pleased with the built-in iTunes solution I have come up with.
I originally worked with one of the original founders of Octiv to patch and release the Snow Leopard Volume Logic 1.3.2L version plugin that was posted on the Plantronics website for a short time. With regards to all of those out of luck on 10.7 Lion:
